Water Geyser

A water geyser effect made in Unreal Engine 4 as part of a project to make one particle effect per day.
The goal was to make an effect like a column of water shooting up from the ground

A core column mesh was created in Blender using much the same technique as the Tornado effect I made. A custom shader which does refraction as well as applying a pulsing wobble effect was created.
Splashing foam at the base of the column using a masked sea foam image and an erosion shader
Added vertical spouts of foam to fill out the column
More foam at the top to show the water separating and crashing back down.
Some water ripples around the base of the column
