Spellbreak: VFX Art Test

The results of an art test I took for a VFX role at Proletariat Inc working on Spellbreak about a year ago. The test was to replicate an animated effect concept in-engine.
In the end I ended up accepting an offer elsewhere.

A mesh + bespoke shader created for the growing sphere shell component of the effect.
A billboard quad + bespoke shader created for the core of the effect.
